Sometimes, it can be more struggle than beautiful. Sometimes, life has a way of putting it’s foot on your back and holding you under water.
You come up for air, struggling to catch your breathe, you gasp. And it plunges you back into the deep dark water.
It’s easy to want to just give up. The pain is too much and you’re scared. Is this it?
No. Because life is pain. Life is ugly. Life is struggle. From the moment we fight our way out of that uterus, it’s struggle. And you’re strong enough to survive. Strong enough to resist and stubborn. Stubborn enough to keep pushing. Pushing past daily grind of earning enough to live on. Pushing past the pettiness of small minded people. Pushing past the mistakes we make and the decisions we make. You know that each day’s challenges will only serve to fuel your fire, and make you stronger. And each time you stumble, you recover faster, heal and trudge on.
We are the swords forged in the fires of living. And we will never be denied.
